Quality Score: The number assigned by Google to paid ads in hybrid auctions which, coupled with CPC maximum, determines an ad’s SERP position and ranking. Quality Scores reflect ads’ historical CTR, landing page relevance, keyword relevance and a variety of Google proprietary factors. In Yahoo! the Quality Score is referred to as the Quality Index. Google and Yahoo! both display their indicators (3-5) of quality evaluation for individual advertisers they have scored.
