Unique Visitor: Identification of an actual individual who is surfing the web (as opposed to an
engine’s crawler) tracked by a unique identifiable quality (typically IP address). If a visitor comes to a web site
and clicks on 100 links, it is still only counted as one unique visit.
Usability: The "user friendly" quality of web sites and their functions. Sites with good
usability are sites that make it easy for their visitors to find the information seek or perform the actions they
desire. Anything causing a problem or creating confusion for users is regarded as bad usability, some large Flash
animations that are served to visitors with dial up connections cause poor usability. Usability is enhanced through
simple, intuitive navigation and clear, informative text.
User Agentz: The identity of a visitor to a web site, whether spider, browser, etc. Internet
Explorer and Mozilla are the most common user agents.
